November Wardrobe Haul

While I can’t remember the last time I stepped into a mall and purchased clothing, online shopping is sometimes just more convenient and low-stress. Over the past few months, and usually with a coupon code or savings ad that pops up in my inbox and is too good to refuse – I have acquired a few new wardrobe items.

Haul
Madewell four pack knotted velvet hair tie – $13
Madewell Kale bubble shirt – was $82, currently $20
Madewell Embroidered Sandblossom Top – was $98, currently $17
J. Crew Factory velvet bow hair tie – $9 (I purchased this bow in the wine color)
Asvivid Womens Turtleneck Long Sleeve Chunky Knit Pullover Sweater (off Amazon) – $35
 J. Crew Factory Houndstooth flounce mini skirt – was $56, currently $37
Old Navy faux-suede mule booties in toffee – $40
Old Navy high-rise “The Power Jean aka The Perfect Straight” – was $35, currently $28
Carlos by Carlos Santana Women’s Mandarin Ankle Boot from Amazon – $64

Clearly, I shop with a color pattern or “type” in mind. A lot of the pieces I have purchased can be worn dressed up or down, in a variety of settings, and can be paired with one another in a multitude of ways.

I have worn the kale bubble shirt from Madewell to work with black fitted cropped slacks, as well as with the distressed straight “Power Jeans” and the toffee mules for weekend. It is a versatile piece that I honestly wasn’t sure about when I purchased, but am so glad I did (especially for the current price), and have worn on repeat since it arrived.

I have not had a chance to wear the Madewell embroidered blouse yet, as it is a bit more “summery”, but have had my eye on it for months and just couldn’t justify the $98 price tag (yowza). However, when I saw that it was on sale for less than $20, I scooped it up and didn’t think twice. This top will probably end up being my go-to piece when the warmer months roll around again.

I LOVE the J. Crew houndstooth mini skirt. I have paired it with a tissue black turtle top and the Old Navy faux-suede mules. This piece is comfy and quite perfect for this time of year; and is most likely going to be part of my Thanksgiving outfit this year.

I’ve already mentioned the Old Navy mules a few times in this post. Why? Because ever since I bought them, I find myself wearing them several times a week. They are stylish, lightweight, and comfortable for long-term wear. I actually wore these for close to 12 hours one work day, where I was frequently up on my feet and walking around – and I never once regretted putting them on that day. While they come in a variety of colors, I prefer the toffee shade, as they are the perfect color to pair with brown tones, blacks, and light-wash jeans.

Lastly, I am trying to be better about doing my hair, or at least the way I style my go-to low bun style. In order to “spruce” up my usual look a bit, I decided to try something new like these hair ties with velvet bows. While they aren’t my normal “style” I have loved the indiscreet pop their provide.
